What is Genius Hour? 

 

According to geniushour.com, Genius hour is a movement that allows students to explore their own passions and encourages creativity in the classroom.  It provides students a choice in what they learn during a set period of time during school.

 

What will be your Space Jam?     1) What will you create that will make the world awesome?     2) How can we make every day better for each other?

 

 

First, let's brainstorm ideas...

 

On the left side of your bracket, write things that you are really passionate about, things that you would do forever if you could.  For example, playing video games

 

On the right had side of your bracket, write things that really bother you, that you would change if you could.  For example, people not having enough food to eat

 

Second, let's narrow down your topic.

Using your bracket pick which one is most interesting out of the two until you have picked a topic that you are interests you.  Talk with Mrs. Farrell or Ms. Fox before moving on to the next step.

 

Third, fill in your KWL chart.
